Welcome to Grouse Garden

I have a room for rent to a mature, responsible female in my beautiful, quiet home.
located on the lower slopes of Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am five minutes from the Skyride tram up the mountain, one block from wooded forest trails and one mile from the trendy and convenient Edgemont Village for grocery shopping, gifts, a library and restaurants.

The 246 Highland bus stops one block away and goes to either Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus to downtown's Waterfront Station or to the North Shore's largest shopping mall, Park Royal. During rush hour, this bus goes over Lion's Gate Bridge and through Stanley Park to downtown. Capilano University is a 15 minute drive.

The Beautiful Garden

The best place to be is in the quiet, sunny and beautiful rear garden area with patio table and chairs.  Bird feeder brings a variety of sweet songbirds.  Veggie garden space produces lettuce, carrots, beets, tomatoes, zucchini, chard and herbs every year.  There's even a decorative garden pond and a clothes line if you like the fresh scent of outdoors in your towels and sheets.

The Living Room

Sun-filled living room for reading or socializing.  Flat screen TV with PVR and stereo surround-sound.  Gas fireplace with fully adjustable heat control.  Hardwood floor and cozy, fuss-free furniture.

The Dining Room

...an inspiring place to sit and work
or relax over a meal.
I enjoy having girlfriends over for dinners
several times a month.

Quiet Bedroom

Fully furnished private bedroom with single bed and large closet with shelving are yours!  Rearrange to suit and enjoy the incredible garden view out with big window.  Control your own heat settings.  Full bathroom (shared) with tub/shower is next down the hall.

Bedroom View

The view from the bedroom is of a Japanese style garden and two small cement pools built by my Dad many years ago.  Sometimes I run the hose for the sounds of a waterfall on the right side.  Trees in the rear shelter a shady pathway to explore and give complete privacy and the feel of a forest setting.
